Chef Mekhayel’s Fattoush Recipe

Hi all!

Fattoush as all of us know it is the Lebanese Salad. This delicious and light recipe is versatile as you can omit or add various ingredients.

We met with Chef Mekhayel Kalaani who showed us how to prepare Fattoush Salad.

Check out the recipe below:


  • Radish
  • Purslane
  • Rocket leaves
  • Thyme
  • Fried bread
  • Cucumber
  • Green pepper
  • Tomato
  • Green onions
  • Salt
  • Sumac
  • Pomegranate sauce
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil


In a large bowl, combine the green onions, tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, thyme, rocket leaves, purslane and finally the radish.

For the dressing, whisk together the pomegrante sauce, lemon juice, sumac, salt and olive oil.

Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss well.

Place the salad in a plate and put the fried bread on top.

Serve and enjoy the delicious salad!
