We describe her artsy feel in mosaic by saying she was born in Beirut and have lived in Paris for 30 years. Our main guest Zeinat Kredie returned to live in Lebanon recently and began practicing the decorative art, mosaic. She uses a new technique in her art called “epi de ble” which involves cutting the mosaics and placing them according to themes. Check out some of her designs below.
Pediatric surgeon Dr. Nabil Diab joined us and talked about the first ever international Wound Congress in Lebanon taking place on the 7th and 8th of June at the Batlouni amphitheater.
Outbox International Film Festival Founding Manager Sonia Hadchity and cine-concert event organizer Scarlett Saad introduced us to the second edition of the Outbox International Film Festival. “Beirut’s second annual celebration of cinema, without boundaries – Outbox International Film Festival” will be held at Downtown’s Roman Baths from the 14th of June till the 17th of June at 6:00 pm. An exhibition will run in conjunction with the festival, a retrospective of original Lebanese and Arabic movie posters, and old Polish posters, contributed by the Polish Embassy in Lebanon. This year’s festival sees several new partnerships that will fuel the promotion of Lebanese films abroad, including a collaboration with the Sydney-based Lebanese Film Festival, Outbox’s guest for this edition.
Karine El-Hajj, biology and phyics teacher at the Montana International College, joined us and discussed the E-Ecoeducation program launched by Saradar group. The “E-Ecoeducation” is about a mobile computer school that provides an IT training program combining advocacy and practical applications to promote and develop environmental preservation, knowledge and skills. The goal is to achieve an ecological and sustainable society. The IT training sessions are currently taking place at the Montana International college and will remain till the 12th of June.
Artist Hanibaal Srouji talked about the art exhibition held at LAU where all Faculty of School of Architecture and Design professors showcase their work.
