Law, nutrition and much more on Helwi Beirut’s episode 79!

Hi all,

Our main guest was President of May Jallad Foundation for Cancer, Rima Dandashi. The foundation’s simple mission is “to provide as much financial support as possible to as many cancer patients as possible”. Visit the May Jallad Foundation website to know more about it.

During our law segment, Lawyer Lara Dagher gave solutions to the topic discussed last week about the inheritance procedure in Lebanon.

Beirut Theater is closing down! Khouloud Nassar was a guest on our show today and talked about this issue. Beirut Theater should be labeled as a cultural heritage because it accommodated the most important Lebanese theatrical movements since 1964. It survived many wars, but now it’s unable to survive the passive role of the ministry.

Vocalist Hani el-Dakak and music composer Ayman Massoud from Massar Ejbari band were our guests on our show. They are here in Lebanon for the Massar Ejbari event live at the Beirut Theater on Tuesday at 8:30 pm. They are also preparing the launching of their new album in 2012 in Egypt. Massar Ejbari means compulsory detour.

During our nutrition segment, nutritionists Mayssa Tayyar and Michella Haber talked about detox diet. It’s the holiday season! We are all prone to eating delicious and fatty food. This is why after the festive season, we should all detox diet. A detox diet is also called a cleansing diet because it will remove toxins from your body.

Hope you enjoyed our episode today!

Have a nice night and see you back tomorrow.

Love,

Helwi Beirut
