Lebanese football & fashion faux-pas on Helwi Beirut’s episode 45!

Hi all!

Our episode of Helwi Beirut included interesting guests and featured some informative reports. A big congratulations from all the Helwi Beirut team to the Lebanese football team who won the game yesterday against South Korea.  

Talking about football, our main guests were Lebanese footballers Mohammad Ghaddar and Mahmoud al-Ali and not to forget the famous commentator Joseph Abi Chahine who added a pinch of excitement to the game.

During our body language segment, body language expert Habib el-Khoury analyzed the players’ body language during the game and the commentator’s voice tone. Not to forget, he also analyzed President Michel Sleiman’s body language and excitement level during the game.

Painter and sculptor Fadi Yazigi talked about his art. For the second anniverssary of Qcontemporary, Fadi Yazigi decided to use 18 karat gold to create a unique piece called “The Golden Angel”

Cynthia Nouhra, on the other hand, celebrated the opening of her art gallery “Cynthia Nouhra Art Gallery” in Furn el-Chebbak on 11-11-2011. The gallery’s first exhibition is called “The New Era” and is open till the 23rd of December including seven artists.

Robert Cremona who played the role of Joe Daniel in the film Rue Huvelin and Jimmy Keyroz who played the role of Serge in the same movie were our guests on today’s episode. Right after the interview with us, Robert Cremona and Jimmy Keyrouz will be attending the Avant-premiere of the film Rue Huvelin at Metropolis Sofil. The film will premiere in all Lebanese theaters on the 17th of November.

During our coaching segment, Coach Samir Zehil talked about the parents’ expectations of their children.  He explained that parents should set reasonable goals and expectations for their children.

During our weekly image consultancy segment, our own image and fashion consultant Maya el-Tal gave us five fashion faux-pas. Check them out below!

  • Wearing the same outfit two days in a row
  • Evident bra and panty lines
  • Clothes that do not fit correctly; either baggy or too tight
  • Wrinkled clothing or stained clothing
  • Wearing clothes that are not right for the occasion such as a very short dress

Director Berna Beani who won the first prize for the Best Short at the 5th NDU Film Festival, was our guest on today’s episode. Her film called “Join me in Death” is inspired by the works of world renowned directors David Lynch and Andrei Tarkovsky.

Finally, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) was our guest on Helwi Beirut. He talked about the anti-smoking campaign.
