DiaLeb Organization, Banff Mountain Film Festival and Chef Ramzi recipes on Helwi Beirut’s episode 40!

Hi all!

In our show today, we welcomed many guests and featured some interesting reports. Our main guests were founder and President of DiaLeb Organization Dr. Jacqueline Kassouf Maalouf and managing director of DiaLeb Organization Sylvie Maalouf Issa. They talked about the awareness campaigns DiaLeb is organizing and Sylvie Maalouf Issa’s own experience after being diagnosed with type I Diabetes.

Speech therapist Giselle Sawma talked to us about listening and visual confusion children face in the Arabic language knowing that many letters look alike and many letters sound alike.

Tina Comaty, President of PolyLiban, talked about the Banff Moun Film Festival taking place in Lebanon on Saturday November the 12th at 6:30 p.m. at Metropolis Empire Sofil. Tickets are available at the door for 5,000 Lebanese Liras. For the first time, Banff will make a stop in Lebanon showcasing the best production in climbing, snowboarding, cycling …

Our weekly rendezvous with Chef Ramzi ended up to be collaborative and not to forget delicious! Chef Ramzi prepared appetizing sandwiches on the show today. Check out the recipes below.

Salmon Crepes

  • 1 crepes dough
  • 1 spreadable white cheese
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green herbs
  • 200g smoked salmon

Chicken Shawarma Sandwich with Guacamole

  • ½ loaf of bread
  • 1 cup Guacamole
  • 200 g chicken shawarma
