George Wassouf, a trip to Mexico & much more on Helwi Beirut’s episode 18!

Hi all!

In our show today, we featured interesting guests and informative reports and segments. Our main guest was president of Al-Hayat Benevolent Organization Layla Saber. We featured a report about George Wassouf, went with Barbara to Mexico & much more!

October is the Breast Cancer Awareness month, so we welcomed with us today Professor Naji al-Saghir who stressed on the importance of the campaign to raise awareness. He said that the percentage of patients with breast cancer is increasing year by year. We now have in Lebanon 1800 new patients with breast cancer per year and 50% of them are under 50 years old.

For all the fans of George Wassouf, this special report is dedicated to you.  George Wassouf suffered from a small stroke on Wednesday evening and is now in a stable condition. Wassouf is being treated at the American University of Beirut Medical center.

We hope you feel better soon George Wassouf!

Check out our special report below.

Every Thursday Barbara prepares a special report and takes us to different villages in Lebanon. This week she took us to Mexico and prepared quesadillas with Chef Fernando!
