Fashion tips for tall woman and reports about Lanvin and Victor & Rolf’s spring/summer 2012 collection on Helwi Beirut’s episode 3!

Hi all!

Today we hosted interesting guests and featured fun reports. Our main guest was Mrs. Marina Chammas Karam. Our fashion consultant Maya el-Tal gave tall women fashion tips and advice on what to wear druing our image consultancy segment, featured a report about Lanvin’s spring/summer 2012 collection during Paris fashion week, another fashion report on Victor & Rolf’s spring/summer 2012 collection during Paris fashion week and much more!

During our image consultancy segment, our own fashion and image consultant Maya el-Tal gave tips and advice for tall women! Maya el-Tal explained that a tall woman has many advantages such as the ability to wear horizontal stripes, big prints, mix colors, and add details to her clothes (buttons, pockets, pleats, different textiles …). The ideal skirt height for tall women is the knee length skirt, but that does not mean that she cannot wear a mini skirt or a maxi skirt. A mini skirt is best suited with knee high boots and a maxi skirt should be A-line shaped in order to break that vertical look. One misconception we all have is that tall women cannot wear heels. A tall woman can wear heels preferably kitten  heels with no platform and round toe not pointed toe.

Take a look at Maya el-Tal’s special article here.

For fashion lovers, we featured on our show a report about Lanvin’s spring/summer 2012 collection during Paris fashion week and also Victor & Rolf’s spring/summer 2012 collection during Paris fashion week.

Alber Elbaz, creative director of Lanvin, presented the collection full of embellishment. This collection represents a strong and confident woman yet not forgetting to point out her femininity.

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoern continue to bewilder us with this doll-like collection. The collection was full of thick ribbon stitching, ruffles and crystal flashes. This was another exuberantly outstanding collection from the Dutch duo.

Check out both reports respectively here and here.

Tune in tomorrow for another interesting episode of Helwi Beirut.

Love,

Helwi Beirut
