Lea Mouwad,TEDxBeirut curators, and Ziad Samaha on HWM’s episode 17

Hi all,

In our show today, our special guest was Lea Mouawad the daughter of the ex-deputy Kayssar Mouawad who shared with us her studies experience in Switzerland and travels in Europe. She was later joined by her mother Josiane Mouawad. They talked about their shared hobbies like swimming and walking in the Ehden reserves. Mrs Mouawad shed the light on her associations such as Bassma.

In our legal segment, Lara Dagher talked about the franchise contract that protects mainly brand names from being copied around the world. She talked about the legal procedures to take to protect your rights and your ideas.

Our next guest was Rouane Nasreddine who defined the meaning of a life coach and the help this person can bring to the society. This trend started eight years ago in the United States and is starting to catch on in Lebanon.

The Fashion expert Karine Tawil continues to talk about the historic relationship between fashion and the Cinema industry such as Catherine Deneuve and Yves Saint-Laurent and Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn. She also talked about the love of Marilyn Monroe to the Chanel House and specially the Chanel n 5 fragrance.

Also, our guest were William Choukeir and Patricia Zougheib from the TEDx event that took place on Saturday 24 of September. More than 800 people came to see speakers talk about their personal and professional experiences.

We also met with artist Simon Khachan who talked about the art exhibition that he is hosting in his gallery La Maison du Sommelier in Furn el-Chebak till the 23rd of October. The main theme of these paintings is women and their perspective and vision of life.

Our final guest was Ziad Samaha, a professional diver who is heading the cleaning of the Beirut seabed on October 2nd in cooperation with Purple Reed.
