Gloria Abu Zyad, Beirut Jazz festival and Milan Fashion Week on HWM’s episode 16

Hi all,

During today’s episode, we hosted Gloria Abu Zayd, the general director of the Green Plan, who shared with us her professional projects as well as personal stories about her life and children. Other guests included the Center Culturel Francais President in Beirut Aurelien Le Chevalier who revealed why the center will be renamed Centre Francais. He also shared CF upcoming activities, such as Le Salon du Livre 2011.

Among the guests was Lebanese artist Philippe el Hage who will be playing at the Beirut Jazz Festival 2011 on October 1 . Helwi w Murra also hosted Head of the Resonnance Foundation Cherine Maalouf who talked about the organization’s free music events featuring Elizabeth Sombart. These music events will  run from September 25 until October 1 . Did you know that you can go to the Resonnance association and learn how to play music for free?

Also, Lebanese actor and director Rabih Freiha talked about his acting workshop to help kids with mental and physical handicaps. Read his blog to learn more about his continuous projects to entertain and enable these kids. Psychologist Joanna Imad informed us about French serial imposter Frederic Boudin, also known as the Chameleon who impersonated more than 500 different people.

As for our reports, we shed light on the Spring/Summer 2012 collection of designer Frida Giannini for the House of Gucci during Milan Fashion Week as well as Nadine Daher’s on segment on the elevator etiquette. Watch them here!

Love,

Helwi w Murra
