Films, fashion and food on HWM’s episode 10

Hi all!

Today, we hosted interesting guests. Our main guest was Culture Minister Gaby Lyon and his wife, May. They talked about their relationship and how the Culture Ministry attempts to support budding artists.

Metropolis Cinema Organizer Christina Clarado joined us on the show to talk about the Arte Semaine dans Cinema Metropolis, which runs from September 18 until 24. All films are long features and start at 8:00 p.m.

Twenty-four-year-old director Maya Mahfouz talked to us about her documentary titled “Janette.” The film revolves around the protagonist Janette, a 73-year-old lady who lives in Achrafieh and who recounts her life.

Rachelle Khalil Hleik told us about a book by Mark Haddon called “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time,” which talks about a 15-year-old autistic teenager called Christopher trying to resolve the murder of the neighbor’s dog. But the book is mainly about the protagonist and how he, as a person with autism, deals with the world around him.

Our two reports talked about the New York Fashion Week. Check them out here!

Also check out Badgley Mischka’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection here.

Finally, we finished off the show with Chef Ramzi, who showed us how to prepare Sashimi salad. Here’s the recipe.
