Today’s episode had some exciting guests and reports. Our main guest was Honorary Ambassador of the South Korean Contingent of the United Nations Tania Kassis and we shed the light on the issue of a Lebanese woman’s right to give her nationality to her husband and children with Lara Dagher, Maya el-Tal gave advice for curvy woman on how to dress, featured a report about Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection during New york Fashion Week, another report on the top five films in the Lebanese Box Office and much more!
During our law segment, Lara Dagher explained that Lebanese mothers are allowed to give their nationality to their children in two cases; either the child’s father is unknown or when a non-Lebanese mother of minor children from a previous marriage to a non-Lebanese father, who gets the Lebanese nationality from a Lebanese husband, can give her Lebanese nationality to her minor non-Lebanese children upon the death of her Lebanese husband.
On the other hand, children born to Lebanese mothers and foreign fathers face many obstacles if they choose to live in Lebanon such as the basic right to education or hospitalization.
Talking about women, our fashion and image specialist Maya el-Tal gave full-figured or curvy women advice on how to dress according to their body type. One misconception we have is that voluptuous women can’t be trendy, but the fact is that every person can be fashionable in his/her own way. One important tip Maya el-Tal gave is not to cover our curves, oversized clothes only makes us look bigger. Another advice is to wear a shoulder blazer pinched at the waist, think Queen Latifah.
To continue on the subject of fashion, one report on our show featured Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection in New York Fashion Week. His collection displayed an array of colors aside from his classical pink, white and navy and he approached this season with feminine patterns that grab attention yet are not peculiar.
